Just because you’re the chief doesn’t mean you’re excused from sweeping the stoep.
Or welcoming people at the door.
Or taking the rubbish out.
Or making coffee.
Get your hands dirty. Don’t expect anyone to do something you’re not willing to do.
Not only does this keep you real & grounded, but it sets a great example.
It creates a culture of teamwork rather than hierarchy.
People will work harder for you if they know you aren’t above sweeping your own stoep.
