If you are sensitive to other people’s opinions, don’t become an entrepreneur.
Starting your own business opens you up for abuse, criticism and embarrassment. You will make missteps, you will have setbacks, you will lose money.
You will provide endless cud for the critics to chew on.
You must have a thick skin. You must be able to shut out the insults and the critics. Concentrate and keep moving.
The only thing that matters is that you can tell your kids what you do for a living, and that you make a living.
Everything else is noise.
When you find yourself in the spotlight being attacked from every side, remember this:
Dogs only bark at moving cars.
The people who matter don’t care. The people who care don’t matter.
