It’s easy to think you’re a main oke. That certain jobs are beneath you. That secretaries and underlings were invented to take care of the detail.
Its also easy to fail.
An entrepreneur is never too proud to do the dirty work. She will do whatever needs to be done to win (ethically):
- Sell
- Apologise
- Book flights
- Make coffee
- Admit failure
- Sweep the stoep
- Write the leave policy
An entrepreneur parks her ego and faces the facts. The number one fact is that the buck stops with you.
There is no job beneath you. There is no sales pitch you can delegate. There is no room for not apologising. There is no forgiveness for denying failure.
Park your pride. Do what you gotta do.
