There are lots of articles and books on how to lead a company in a crisis.

They give great advice on protecting revenue, stoking staff morale, cutting costs, hunkering down.

What most of them leave out it is the part where leaders serve others. 

True leadership is not about the self. 

It’s about service. 

True leadership is not only protecting profits.

True leadership is about kindness, empathy and helping others. 

Helping families.

Helping customers.

Helping communities.

Helping the government. 

Ask yourself, are you helping yourself? Or are you helping others?

Are you writing emails telling staff how to keep working?

Or are you showing kindness to your community?

Are you a true leader?

Leadership is not about self, it’s about service.
