Have a big brother

Being a startup can be dangerous. Especially if you’re taking on the big guys. Entrenched corporate interests can be vicious when threatened.

Don’t underestimate the power of a company with lots of cashflow, lawyers, and an insecure CEO.

This is where having gone to a government school is useful.

Everyone knows that the only way to avoid being bullied is to have a proverbial “big brother”. Someone that has unofficially taken you under his wing, making bullies think twice before picking a fight.

Its like having a “Godfather” but without the protection money.

As soon as you can, try and find a company or individual that will scare off potential killer companies.

In the meantime don’t poke the bear.

He might wake up.
