Of course, don’t neglect your work. But be sure to not neglect your staff either. Your team may not need to speak to you every day, but they need to see you.
All you have to do is walk the floor, once a day. Smile and wave, crack the odd joke, ask about the accountant’s daughter.
“Knowing” that you’re around is not enough. Your people need to see you.
