When someone refuses to give you a straight answer, it’s for one of three reasons:

• Incompetence – he’s pretending to know the answer when he in fact doesn’t.
• Sales – he’s trying to sell you something you don’t need.
• Lies – he’s lying to you.

It’s that simple.
