When something goes wrong, how do you react?

  • By Alan Knott-Craig

You miss a flight.

You forget your passport.

You run out of petrol.

Something goes wrong. Maybe its your fault, maybe its someone else’s.

How do you react?

If you’re like most people, you get upset. You get angry with yourself, or someone else.

Tension, aggravation.

What does that achieve?

You delay the resolution. You create bad vibes. You look like you can’t handle unpleasant surprises.

None of these are great outcomes. They simply compound whatever went wrong.

So don’t react badly.

Something goes wrong, it’s your choice whether you lose your cool.

Be cool.
