Three ways to grow sales

At some point in your business, you will hit a sales plateau.

How do you grow sales without dropping the operational ball?

There are three things you can do:

  1. Bring in a partner that can either take over operations, freeing you up to sell, or that can take over sales, freeing you up to focus on operations. You can’t do everything yourself and expect to grow past a certain point.
  2. Change your business model. The Holy Grail of business is “annuity revenue”. Instead of charging your customer R2,000 for software, once-off, charge them R180pm for 12 months. This will initially have a negative affect on your cashflow because you lose the upfront injection, but over time your ongoing revenue will grow and it will create a buffer to fall back on every month.
  3. Use Facebook and Google. Do it now. FB and Google are far and away the most focused platforms for reaching your potential customers. If you don’t know how to do it yourself, use a company like Popimedia.

If your sales stops growing, you become vulnerable to shocks.

Keep sales growing.
