The difference between excellent and mediocre is price. And the difference between the haves and have-nots is affordability.
To make something available to everyone means to compromise. Its only through compromise that you can the economics work (ie: cheap enough for everyone to afford).
To make something excellent is to inevitably raise the price such that only the rich can afford.
That’s the way of the world. You can either rage against reality, or you can accept it and ask yourself whether you want to help everyone (and tolerate mediocrity), or whether you want to be excellent.
If it’s the former, start thinking about the minimum mediocrity you can live with. If it’s the latter, start thinking about how you can be the best in the world.
