Questions to ask yourself after a failed deal

Did you put in enough effort? Did you put in the hours?

Were you over confident? Did you take victory for granted?

Did you prepare?

Did you count your chickens before they hatched?

Did you really want to win? Did you take it seriously?

Did you have the right skills? If not, did you bring in the skills you needed?

Did you cause any unnecessary delays? Sometimes speed is the single most important factor in success.

Did you play the right role? Sometimes you’re the good cop, sometimes you’re the bad cop.

If you have any “no” answers, you only have yourself to blame.

It’s better to avoid regret.
