When you have a great idea, your instinct is to go to your loved ones (parents, spouse, siblings, friends) to get feedback.
Sometimes the feedback is less than positive.
It’s easy to see that as personal criticism.
Don’t.
In fact, the more someone loves you, the more likely they’ll steer you away from risk (and potential pain) by criticising your ideas.
Someone can love you and hate your idea at the same time.
Be cool.
