If a poor man talks too much, he is a bore.
If a rich man talks too much, he is wise.
When judging another person, everyone is unconsciously affected by his/her perception of the other person’s success.
Most times that success is determined by wealth.
More wealth = more success.
When engaging with someone, instead of hearing the other person’s words dispassionately, we immediately infer legitimacy on those words based on the fact that the speaker is wealthy.
Remove this bias by picturing the speaker as a poor man.
That way you will be more able to clearly hear what he is saying.
