Entrepreneurs have the courage to go backwards

Life is like a clock. It ticks. Sometimes, it gets ahead of itself and you have to rewind the clock to set the time right.

This is no fun. Going backwards never is. It takes courage.

The easiest thing in the world is to lie to yourself. “Its not my fault the business failed.” “I didn’t screw my partner.” “I didn’t lie to my customers.” “I did it all myself without any help.” “I didn’t have a silver spoon.”

But lying to yourself gets you nowhere. Its only by facing the truth, ugly or not, that you can learn from your mistakes and move forward.

The ugliest truth of all is that you’re on the wrong path. That your job or business or relationship is a dead end.

That you’re going nowhere and there’s no way to fix it.

That the only way forward is to go backward. Rewind your career. Rewind your life. Start again.

Be honest with yourself, or you’ll find yourself lying in bed one day realizing you’ve wasted your life.

What are you waiting for? The clock is ticking.
