Heraclitus said, “No one steps into the same river twice.”
Its always different water, and you’re always a different person.
Its tempting to go backwards in life.
The girl that got away. The company you founded and left.
But that is not the right way.
An entrepreneur doesn’t look over his shoulder. He doesn’t let his ego get the better of him. He doesn’t care what the crowd thinks.
Maybe you were kicked out of your company. Maybe you sold it. Maybe you retired.
Maybe you look back at it and say, “I shouldn’t have left, I can do a better job.”
Maybe you’re Steve Jobs.
Maybe not.
Don’t look backwards. Don’t go down the same roads you’ve already been down.
Entrepreneurs keep moving forward.
