Just because you’re good at chess, doesn’t mean you’ll be good at business.
Chess gives you time. Business doesn’t.
Chess has strict rules. Business doesn’t.
Chess has predictability. Business doesn’t.
In business, the game changes all the time. Most of the time there are no rules. And if there are, they’re weighted in favour of your opponent.
And there’s no umpire.
Its every man for himself.
There’s only one rule: Don’t do anything you can’t tell your kids about.
Break rules, ignore rules, make new rules… do what you gotta do.
Business is not chess.
