The objective is to win, but when the game is finished life goes on. So don’t do anything that makes it impossible to go on with life.

Don’t ruin your health. Don’t commit a crime. Don’t be alone.

Whilst you’re playing the game, there are certain tools you can use to give you an edge. Reputation. Capital. Skills.

Sharpen these tools, but remember that’s all they are. Tools.

They are not the actual game, nor are they the definition of winning.

Building the greatest reputation in your lifetime is not winning. That’s like having the best soccer ball ever. At the end of the game, you discard the soccer ball and go on with life.

The ball simply doesn’t matter.
