Beware “perceived exertion”

You get to work at 7am so you think you are working hard.

You work 80 hour weeks so you feel your contributing the most.

You prepare five tenders every week so you know you are doing your best to get sales.

Beware all that.

It is “perceived exertion”.

It doesn’t matter what time you get to office, or how many hours you work, or how many tenders you submit, unless you’re working SMART.

Being smart means thinking hard about which type of exertion truly moves your business forward, versus exertion which is “perceived” to move your business forward.
