Aim for the spot where the enemy forces overlaps

  • By Alan Knott-Craig

In almost every battle he fought, Napoleon was vastly outnumbered. And yet he always won (until he made the mistake of invading Russia).

The secret was that he would concentrate ALL his forces on the hinges of the opposing armies.

For example, when facing the Prussian and Austro-Hungarian armies, he would focus his efforts at the point where the opposing armies overlapped.

He realised that this was the most vulnerable point because his enemies would have the least ability to coordinate.

He would smash into the joint, not only dividing his enemies, but gaining momentum and morale for his troops.

Aim for the spot where your competitors overlap.
