A bad person in your company is like a splinter in your foot.
Every day that goes by without you removing the splinter, the deeper it embeds itself.
Eventually you can’t find the offender without cutting a hole in your skin and digging around with tweezers.
In the meantime you can’t walk properly because your foot is so sore.
You’re distracted by the pain, all the time.
The longer it’s in, the harder it is to get out.
Don’t delay. When you get a splinter in your foot, or the wrong person in your company, drop everything.
Take it out.
When you’re in a startup you can’t afford to move slowly or be distracted.
Watch out for splinters.
