Patience is a virtue

  • By Alan Knott-Craig

If you’re an entrepreneur, you’re likely to be an impatient person.

You can’t stand queues. You can’t stand traffic jams.

You can’t stand waiting for anything.

Nothing wrong with that. Impatience creates urgency, which creates speed.

Fast moving businesses win.

That said, embracing the virtue of patience is good for business.

It gives you space for reflection about risks and opportunities.

It keeps you from losing your temper.

It forces you to listen, gleaning gems of wisdom from staff and customers.

It creates the perception that you are calm and unruffled.

If you’re an impatient person, embrace the virtue of patience.
