Its no good just having a dream, or a vision, or an idea.

Things don’t happen by prayer (although its worth praying to hedge your bets).

Things happen by plan.

You need a plan to make your idea a reality.

A plan will give you a feel for how much funding you need, which partners you need, who your competitors are, what your biggest risks are.

A plan will reveal to you whether you have the brains, experience, and network to make your dream a reality.

Maybe you’re simply not the right person. Better face up to that early than waste time and money going down an impossible path.

The real world doesn’t always go according to plan, once you launch into your new venture you’ll be winging it.

But you may as well be think things through before you take the leap.
